Bossier Privacy Notice

Information You Submit

A name, location, or other term entered into a search box is sent to the outside provider that operates the search. Bossier Parish Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own system. A message sent by email or a contact form may be kept long enough to answer and manage the exchange. It is not shared outside the organization unless the law requires that disclosure.

Technical Data and Cookies

Ordinary web logs and measurement tools may collect technical facts when a page loads. Those facts can include an IP address, browser and version, device and operating system, pages viewed, time spent, a referring site, and timestamps. Cookies help measure use and remember basic preferences. A browser can block them, though some features may then act differently.

How Data Is Used

Collected data is used to keep pages available, route a search to the selected partner, learn which Bossier Parish resources are useful, diagnose errors, improve speed, prevent abuse, and display advertising that may match broad interests. It is not used to create an official jail, court, or release record.

Outside Sites and Advertising

Links may lead to Bossier Sheriff pages, Louisiana corrections systems, courts, federal locators, or third-party search tools. The destination's privacy policy controls after a visitor leaves this site. Advertising providers may measure activity across sites on their own systems. Their practices are not controlled here.

When Data May Be Shared

Personal data is not sold. Limited information may reach search partners that process a query, analytics services that measure use, advertising networks that serve or count ads, and a law-enforcement or government body acting under a valid legal order. Each recipient receives only the information needed for its role when reasonably possible.

Security Has Practical Limits

Reasonable administrative and technical practices are used to protect data. No internet-connected service can promise perfect security or guarantee that a breach will never occur. Visitors should avoid sending sensitive custody, medical, financial, or identity details that are not needed for a simple question.

Visitors Under Eighteen

This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Contacts page to request review and deletion.

Your Privacy Choices

Depending on applicable law, a visitor may ask for a copy of personal data held by this site, seek correction of an error, request deletion, or object to certain processing. A request must include enough detail to locate the relevant message or record without sending unnecessary identity documents.

Changes to This Notice

This privacy notice may be revised as services, vendors, or legal duties change. A revised version takes effect when posted here with its new effective information.
